There are also blueprints for smaller tabletop versions there as well. When I finished putting mine together per the blueprints, I felt it was a little boring, so I improvised. If you want my blueprints, I can write them out for you, just let me know.
The piping cost me about $19 once I got all the pieces I needed and I bought them at Home Depot. You should be able to get PVC piping at just about any large home improvement store. The piping is slippery and my D2, Reggie, uses the legs that hold it as fire poles to get down! You can sand them to make them rough, but my TAG, Tuchis, really likes sisal, so I just wrapped the piping with sisal that I got from our local Farm and Fleet. 100 feet for $3.49! They also sell untreated cotton rope there! Home Depot also carries the sisal but it's a little more expensive. A few stainless steel eyelet screws at the local hardware store (the big chains don't have them in stainless steel) at a $1.19 a piece and a drill gave me places to hang toys. And, last but not least, I had a Boofy Bowl that I had ordered a while back that I attached by drilling a hole as well. You can get those at the following link: Boofy Bowls
I just finished this a few weeks ago, so it's still kind of a work in progress. I ordered a second Boofy Bowl and I'm going to finish wrapping it in sisal and I want to add more toys. The nice thing about it is the fact that I can always expand if I want to! The tray that it's sitting on is actually an extra tray for the playtop of Reggie's cage that I don't use because he rarely goes up there and I'm waiting for a dometop to come in. Something that you could use to put under it is a Mess Catcher from Exotic Wood Dreams. I haven't tried them yet, but I would really like to. You can check them out at their web site on the following page almost at the bottom. The order number that is listed on the left hand side is SW-11350-A,B. If you click on the small picture, you get the bigger picture, yada, yada, yada!:) Exotic Wood Dreams
Other than that, I included a picture of the one "store bought" playstand that I bought from Feather Farm. It's the cheapest one I've ever seen and shipping was free. Tuchis is still a little clutzy, so I wrapped most of that in sisal as well. You can find those at The Feather Farm.
